A LESSON IN PERSERVANCE: THE BAMBOO FARMER

August 13th, 2009

Was listening to a live webinar last night and one of the golden nuggets that I got was,

“Strength comes from belief” George Hartmann, Master Distributor of Sponsor Daddy.

This is so true!

If you are not rock solid in your belief of what you are doing (personal, dreams, business, company, goals, and the list can go on) how can you feel good about yourself and what you are doing.

Other people will be able to try to throw you off track.

People will always try, but you must be stronger.

Are you going to let them!

Not me, I want to be and do what I want to do.  I hope that you do too!

Here is a short story of the bamboo farmer that did just that.

“The Bamboo Farmer”
an inspiring story of faith and perseverance:

Once upon a time there was a farmer. He lived in a farming community and had farmed, like his neighbors… for all of his life. As time passed by he became bored with farming traditional crops, he still loved farming but felt unchallenged. So he set about the business of researching alternative crops. Making a living and supporting his family was critical, so he wanted to make sure he made a wise choice. Therefore, he began reading, researching and speaking with experts with more knowledge than he before making his final decision.

After studying a variety of options, he decided on Bamboo. The climate, soil conditions and equipment at his disposal could make growing and harvesting bamboo a profitable business. He was convinced he was making the wisest choice and began making the changes needed to become a Bamboo Farmer.

Now remember, our farmer lived in a farming community. For generations his neighbors had all grown traditional crops like corn and wheat. You can only imagine how the idea of growing bamboo was received. Upon telling his fellow farmers his idea, they mocked him calling him foolish, all the time warning him of his impending peril. They were unwilling to accept change or progress. However, the farmer was unshaken, he had done extensive research and was confident of his knowledge. He would not back down from the belief that he could grow bamboo and even turn a substantial profit in the business.

Well, if you know anything about bamboo, you know that the first year it’s been planted…nothing happens. You don’t get so much as a twig or a leaf! His neighbors were ruthless. They had all harvested their crops while he had nothing at all to show for his efforts. He was undaunted and confident in his knowledge. But wait, there’s more bad news. The second year nothing happens either, not a sign of a bamboo tree anywhere. Again he was forced to endure a second year of ridicule by his heartless neighbors. Still, he was unshaken in his confidence.

The third year came…and guess what? Bamboo, everywhere bamboo. His crop grew a foot a day! By the end of the summer he had a virtual bamboo forest. He harvested his crop and sold it for a huge profit. His neighbors were astonished. In fact, several who had once ridiculed him began to show interest in becoming bamboo farmers as well.

The farmer went on for many years enjoying the benefits of his new crop, bamboo. He and his family enjoyed a very happy and successful life, unafraid of growth, progress or change, confident and determined when facing challenges.

This story teaches us two lessons. First, when you have knowledge you have tremendous power. Knowledge gives you confidence to pursue your dreams and goals…regardless of what others think. Throughout history our most prolific leaders, inventors and businessmen were very often the subject of ridicule by their peers. It was their faith and single minded purposefulness that drove them to persevere and ultimately achieve their dreams.

The second lesson is that just because we don’t see immediate progress, doesn’t mean we should give up. The reason the bamboo tree doesn’t grow until the third season is because it spends the first two years growing roots, building a foundation so that when it is ready to grow it will have the stability to stand tall reaching tremendous heights. Without those roots, the tree would fall over with the first strong wind. Had the farmer lost faith, had he not had confidence in his knowledge, he might have tilled the crop under during the first or second year and created disaster for himself and his family.

Have faith and persevere! Be careful not to till the crop under before it’s had a chance to grow it’s roots and climb toward the sky!

Keep the faith and don’t give up on your dreams!

Enjoy

MICHAEL JACKSON, DREAMS, SUCCESS AND NETWORK MARKETING!

July 9th, 2009

michael-jackson-king-of-pop-memorial-2-in-series--thumb9993762

Hi everyone,

These past two weeks we have seen and heard much about Michael Jackson. For me he was one of the greatest and most misunderstood artists to have graced our planet.

But one of the messages I keep hearing from many of his close associates that he had a vision and or dream to be the greatest entertainer that ever was.

He did just that! No matter what happened, where he was, how he felt health wise, what people said, he continued with his dream:

TO BE THE GREATEST ENTERTAINER THAT EVER LIVED!

How does this relate to me and you?

Hopefully each of us has a dream. Not many of us will be world wide as great as Michael, but for us and our family we can get be just as great; maybe a great dad or friend or grandchild. But if you decide to be that then be that!

As Jim Rohn say’s “Be there if you are going to be there!”

How does all this relate to Network Marketing? Network marketing is not an easy job, it can be simple but you must have a dream of what you want to achieve. You must work hard, not just today but everyday. Dreams are built upon consistent effort.

Maybe you want to make a certain income, rid yourself of the 9-5 job, be a stay-at-home dad, buy a new car , be able to free of some of those bills coming in the mail everyday and maybe just help your friends and family be in a better financial situation.

It does not matter the most important thing is to make up your mind to follow your dream and keep at it.
Al Sharpton said at Michael’s memorial, “if he was knocked down, he just got back up and kept going”. And we can see that Michael did not let anything keep him from his dream.

What is keeping you from your dream? YOU?

Enjoy Rebecca

Sponsor Daddy Expo, featuring 14 MLM companies!

Sponsor Daddy Expo, featuring 14 MLM companies!

Hi everyone,

I have been a network marketer for 10 years with moderate success.

I needed to make a change.  I was not going to change my primary company.  I wanted to change my method of marketing.

I knew that I needed to go online and establish an online presence.

I tried different systems, they were good but not great.  Then the first of this year I discovered Sponsor Daddy.

Now I feel like I am doing the things necessary to be a successful network marketer.
*  Build a team.
* Earn a residual income.
* Be able to find great team players.
* Have a system that keeps all the records, sends out autoresponders, etc.
* Have a system that has both traditional and new technology combined.
* Trains our new people.
* Talks about a Health care system, the tax advantages of HBB.
* Teaches and supports a word press blog.
* And more!
Why go anywhere else, when it is here all under one roof.

Interested, here is my link: http:rrussell.sponsordaddy.com

AN EVENING WITH TODD FALCONE

June 11th, 2009

Hi everyone,

I just spent an incredible evening with Todd Falcone, one of the top leaders and trainers in the network marketing industry.  His bio reads world renowned author, speaker and peak performance coach.

Here are some tidbits:

  • FIRST…MAKE THE DECISION…TO BE A SUCCESSFUL NETWORK MARKETER. Show up for events, be a student of success, read and listen to all the experts in the field.  YOU are your biggest asset!
  • SECOND…HAVE A BELIEF IN YOURSELF, YOUR BUSINESS AND YOUR COMPANY.  If you have doubt, doubt will rule.  You will never have the posture of success.  That is not to say that everything will be golden, reality is that there will always be hard or tough days, people will say NO to your opportunity, but that is not saying NO to you.  Pick yourself up, dust off and keep on going.
  • THIRD….CONSISTENCY…Don’t show up to work just one day…but everyday.  Set goals of how many people you are going to talk to each and everyday…and then do it.  Todd Falcone made the analogy of fishing to network marketing…if you never throw you line in the water, you will never get a fish.

I must admit that a year ago,  I was not a successful network marketer, but I have learned to employ these techniques and I am seeing great success.

If I can be of help to you, please let me know.

enjoy,

rebecca russell

KEEP ON MOVING……

April 20th, 2009

KEEP MOVING…..

Every so often I like to blog about things that are just floating around in my head

The picture above that I found in some magazine a few months back has been bugging me to speak to it and what it represents for me.

KEEP MOVING….

For me there can be four.. 4.. categories;

  1. Your physical body…do you on a daily basis, exercise…go for a walk, use the local gym, stroll on the beach with your family. This is so important to keep your body parts moving, build muscle mass, stretch muscles…the more you do the better you feel, the stronger your body will be. Builds to your health and wellness.
  2. Your mind….hopefully you are not spending over a few hours per day in front of the TV…are you reading, doing crossword puzzles, learning how to use the computer, talking with friends. The mind is so important not to lose and only exercising will keep it strong.
  3. Your attitude….are you stuck with the same thoughts and opinions you had 10-20 years ago or have you moved forward. I am not talking about moral values, those never change…but your opinions on the environment, politics, gay rights, about who and what you are!
  4. Your goals…do you have a bucket list of things that you want to achieve…have you done any of them….do you revise according to finances, family and future or are you doing the same old same old. When someone calls can you talk about something new that you are doing. Be successful.

Love to have feedback.

To your health and wellbeing,

rebecca

MANIFESTING PROSPERITY

March 24th, 2009

money

Anyone that is anyone and is serious about build their network marketing busines  should be following what Randy Gage has to say.

Randy Gage has been called “the Millionaire Messiah” because he believes that you are meant to be rich, and it is a sin to be poor!

By Randy Gage
March 24th, 2009

We’ve talked a lot about the change in thinking necessary to become wealthy. And of course that applies for being healthy and happy as well. But here’s the part you may not have understood until now:

Of course you are programmed almost all the time for lack and limitation. This comes via the media, organized religion, the government, and even friends and family, as we’ve already demonstrated many times. Your role is to counter-program against all this with positive programming. Taking charge of the thoughts you give precedence to. And this requires two important components:

1) Stepping back to become “the thinker of the thought.”

2) Getting the positive part of your programming equation up to at least 51%.

So reflect on those two things and let me know what you think.

-RG

So what are you waiting for…get up and do it or just move on.   You have heard the old saying” if you snooze you lose”.

Well that applies to all aspects of your life.

To your success,

rebecca russell
