CONNECTION BETWEEN TRAINS AND IMMUNOLOGICAL HEALTH!

August 9th, 2009

Read lately in a newspaper article from Spokane, Washington how the country’s local, state and national governments are not budgeting enough money to keep up the local rails and public transportation.  Rather more money is put into building and maintaining roads, bridges, etc.  In other words laying more concrete and asphalt rather than making a better train system like in Europe and start eliminating cars thus pollution, creating more green spaces, etc.

Are we not looking at the big picture?

This pollution from too many cars on the road flows over to our bodies.  Most of all our major diseases, heart, cancer, diabetes, auto immune  can be trace to oxidative damage.

Oxidative damage or stress is caused by free radicals.

“The free-radical theory of aging (FRTA) states that organisms age because cells accumulate free radical damage over time. A free radical is any atom or molecule that has a single unpaired electron in an outer shell. While a few free radicals such as melanin are not chemically reactive, most biologically-relevant free radicals are highly reactive. For most biological structures, free radical damage is closely associated with oxidative damage. Antioxidants are reducing agents, and limit oxidative damage to biological structures by passivating free radicals.” Wikipedia, free encyclopedia

As per the above definition we can reduce the amount of oxidative stress by taking antioxidants.

This is how I became a network marketer, my immune system had been compromised and I needed to turn it around.  I started taking recommended vitamin supplements from a direct sales company.  I never looked back, the vitamins were scientifically based formulas including 2-3oz of olive oil.  If you look at charts that show the healthiest people in the world, the Mediterranean area is #1 due to the fact that they have olive oil in their diet.

I ask you to take a good look at what you are doing for your immunological health.

What can you do!

Make noise, write letters to your local governments, and get more money spent on public transportation.

Look at what you are putting into your personal body, good food, exercise and a good antioxidant.  If you are not sure of which ones, compare them.

To your health and mine,

TAKE THIS TEST!!!!

July 16th, 2009

car

Just listened to a DVD from my primary network marketing company, Usana and the president, Dave Wentz said “we take better care of our cars than we do of our own health”.

That is crazy! That cannot be true!

Take this test!!!

What will you do first?

1. Make sure the car has the required oil change, repaired light, polished and cleaned.

2. The dog is properly vaccinated, eating the best food, and had its daily walk.

3. Or have you eaten properly, exercised, taken your good nutritional vitamins, and reduced stress.

WHAT WAS YOUR HONEST ANSWER!

We have only this one body, what will our car and dog do without us.

I continually hear people say that they don’t have the money to buy the vitamins for themselves, or they will go and buy the cheapest ones they can find.

Is that going to help them prevent the degenerative diseases that are  growing fast in our world due to environment and life styles.

No, one day the doctor may say to you, “I am sorry to tell you this but you have diabetes or the big C.

Was it preventable? Maybe if you had taken better care of you.

Will your car last longer if you keep it well maintained?

SUMMERTIME…CANCER HEALTH…GREEN TEA

March 22nd, 2009

  • For me the summer is the best time of the year. It is warm, you can be outdoors all day, and you can swim or just hang out.

  • I recently became aware of my facial skin damage from too much sun. Now I am being proactive and taking the best care to protect my skin.

  • I still want to enjoy my summer without being wrapped up or staying indoors.

  • I have over the last 2 months been doing an aggressive skin treatment with great results.

  • Now I am looking for a great sunscreen. I will post as soon as I know.

But in the meantime here a good article that describes in detail the benefits of green tea.:

Tea Cream Could Combat Skin Cancer: Scientific American

Recent studies have suggested that tea can protect the heart and battle bad breath. Now researchers report that it may help stave off skin cancer, too. Applied topically, components of black and green tea known as polyphenols inhibit the development of cancer in the skin of mice exposed to ultraviolet light, they say.

UV light from the sun is well known to trigger uncontrolled cell proliferation that can lead to cancer. Sunscreens protect against the sun’s harmful rays by physically blocking UV photons. The new findings suggest that tea polyphenols, in contrast, interrupt chemical pathways that lead to skin cancer, offering post-exposure protection. Zigang Dong and his colleagues at the University of Minnesota in Austin, found that shaven lab mice subjected to UVB light and then swabbed with a green tea polyphenol solution exhibited decreased levels of cancer-promoting enzymes and proteins as compared with mice that did not receive the polyphenol treatment. (Black tea contains similar polyphenols.)

Other studies have hinted that drinking tea may deter skin cancer, but Dong, who presented the new findings yesterday at a meeting of the American Chemical Society in New York City, believes that a topical application of tea polyphenols could be a better approach. “Drinking tea may help, but you’d have to drink a large amount to accumulate in the skin, perhaps as many as 10 cups a day,” he notes. “It’s easier to concentrate it in a cream form, and it’s probably more effective.” The team is currently working to develop just such a polyphenol lotion, human testing of which could begin a few years from now.
