• You are excited about joining a new social site…twitter, facebook, my space the most popular ones and all you get is “friends’ that want to spam you with their FABULOUS business, opportunity.
• No one wants to hear the rooster crowing about their best company, best comp plan, their outstanding products that will cure whatever sickness, that in only 6 weeks you will be making a 6 figure income. I am glad they are getting suspended.
• Now that is not to say that the social networking sites can’t be very helpful to grow your biz or home based business. They can.
• These sites are a great way to meet new people, develop relationships, and stay in touch with your existing ones. But this won’t work if you are constantly assaulting people with your sales pitches.
• People want to learn something from or with you. Give them content not promotional stuff. Be a real friend. Share. Maybe you do have something that they need…great…if not be a caring friend.

Jim Rohn has some fabulous quotes but I liked this one…The same wind blows on us all, it is the set of the sail that changes your life”.
What does that exactly mean? You have three groups of people.
- Make no changes in your life group! You are happy with what you are doing or maybe you would like to be doing something different but don’t know how or just can’t do it. So 10 years from now your life will be the same. In my experience no changes usually can result in a bit of backsliding into something you would rather not be doing. Especially in today world with the internet moving so quickly, everyday technology is changing so you may end up in a “you snooze and you lose” situation.
- I will wait and see what others do group! There are a lot of people that are dreamers. Tomorrow I will do this or that but tomorrow comes and nothing happens. Some people are just too afraid to stick their toe out there, outside of that safe zone. Some of us have people that will help us with our dreams but we really are not listening. As a result nothing changes These are the people that are going to wait and see if it works for someone else and then maybe make a few changes. The problem with that is the opportunity may be gone.
- Or the let gets started group! These are the people that have a vision or dream and they know in their heart they are going to achieve. They are not afraid to make mistakes, are willing to listen, and will take chances. This definitely is not the easy route but it is the only way changes occur. Yes there will be failures, maybe even a lose of money but if you are going to make changes and set the sail for where you are going it does take some courage to step out of that comfort zone. After some very hard work the end result, you will gain more confidence, pride in your accomplishments and the knowledge that you have chosen your path, your destiny, your course of action.
I can speak from experience. I have over the last years and especially this past year have been learning how to explode by network marketing business online. At first I thought that I was out of my league. I am of the retirement generation so the computer was like this great big foreign box sitting in the room. But I did #3, I set my sail and just did it. I have had lots of help, took classes, listened to all videos and tapes available, asked questions when I didn’t really know what to ask, but one year later I am on course. No, I am not done, because as I go I need to keep trimming my sails. As I see it the journey is not over, life and things change, so must I.
JUST DO IT…SET YOUR SAIL TOWARDS YOUR GOALS!
I agree with Jim Rohn says, “The same wind blows on us all, it is the set of sail that changes your life”.

Read this great post and really connected with the content. I have been learning how to promote my network marketing business online. I was having problems deciding which social sites to use. Naturally everyone wants to have the best traffic to their blog. I agree with the author to just pick a few social sites and pay attention to them, check them everyday, post comments, etc.
